Description:
The leaves become intense red as they develop. Excellent for colour in salads. It is more vigorous than the standard green type. Use leaves or as sprigs.

WHERE TO SOW

Sow Seeds outdoors in Spring to late summer. As soon as the soil is workable, sow thinly or broadcast thinly 1cm (1/2") deep in rows 15cm (6") apart and rake seeds in. Thin seedlings to 5cm (2") apart. if large plants are required, thin to 25cm (10") apart. can be grown in unheated greenhouse in late autumn.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

A crop should be ready to cut for salads after about 4 weeks. cut about 2.5cm (1") from the ground or leave till larger. cook like spinach.
