Description:
Known to everyone but should be used more. Petals have very delicate taste and will impart orange colour to rice and other dishes. Use flowers in salads. Tincture or ointment of flowers valuable for healing wounds. Seeds itself readily. Ht 45cm Single flower. 75 plants

WHERE TO SOW
Outside in March/April in a shallow drill or scatter the seed and take in. The seed is large so space it out. Grow in any good garden soil. Site in full sun.
HARVEST
Harvest the flowers when dry and fully open. First flowers should appear in June. Dry in a warm and airy place out of strong light. When the petals are crisp they will come away from the stem. Store in an airtight jar in a cool dark place.
