HARVEST
The seeds when ripe, usually September as the plant is dying.  Use the seeds whole or ground in cooking.  An essential ingredient of curry mixtures.  A few seeds added to the water and cooked with cabbage is delicious.  It is used to flavour meats, pickles, chutneys and cheese.  Goes well with devilled mixtures and rice.  The seeds can be ground in a pepper mill.
