Description:
Lovely pinkish red campion flowers which look pretty growing through and between more bushy plants. A soap substitute, con-taining saponins which form a lather in water. Habitat: open woodland and light shade. Ht 60cm 100 Plants

SOW OUTSIDE in spring. Prepare a fine seed bed and lightly rake into the surface.
SITE in some shade is ideal
GROWN en mass in a shady situation together with bluebells will make a spectacular sight.
The plant has many country names. In Wales it is the Snakes Flower and in Somerset Adders Flower. The Manx name for the Campion is blee-ferish or Faries Flower. Other local names include Cock Robin, Red Robin Hood, Robin-run-in-the hedge, Soldiers Buttons, Johnny Woods, Devils Flower, Cuckoo Flower, Billy Buttons.
NATURALISING Th Red Campion will naturalise quickly in damp woodland.
