September to April.
WHERE TO SOW
September in flowering site. Later in pots 5 seeds in each. October and November in a cold frame, January in an unheated greenhouse, March in a cold frame, April in flowering site. The seeds of many varieties have thick coats. These should be nicked or the seeds soaked in water for 12 hours to speed germination.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Greenhouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown seedlings in the flowering site 15cm apart in April.
