Plants produce superb long spikes with fully double flowers and large leaves. Ideal to use as an attractive back of border plant, or magnificent cut flowers. Flowering the first year if sown in a glasshouse. After flowering cut back the plants to improve growth in the second year. Ht 175-200cm. (70-80'')

WHERE TO SOW

Early sowings in trays in a gentle heat in a glasshouse. Later sowings in a seed bed in shallow drills. When the glasshouse seedlings are large enough to handle, prick off into trays 5cm (2") apart. Gradually harden off before planting out from May onwards. Plantings in a seed bed should be thinned to 5cm (2") apart and transplanted in September or October 60cm (24") apart and will flower the following summer.
