Sow the seeds in a nursery bed or cold frame in shallow drills.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

As the seedlings appear, thin to 5-10cm (2-4") apart and keep weed free. Transplant in September or October to the flowering site 30-40cm (12-16") apart.

HANDY TIP

Allow the flower spikes to dry into the late Autumn before cutting down, so that the seed is scattered to produce flowers the following year.
