WHEN TO SOW
In autumn in a tray of peat compost and leave the seed uncovered. Cover the tray with glass to protect from mice and prevent compost drying out.  Place tray in sheltered spot outside and leave over the winter to be frosted.
In spring, some seeds will germiante, but most will wait until after the following winter.  Mixing the seed with damp sand in plastic bag and leaving in the refrigerator for several weeks and then sowing, will encourage out of season germination.
