Description
:
One of the hardiest winter lettuces grown in the mountainous region of Northern Italy. Survived -15°C in a cold winter. Broadcast autumn or spring and thin to 10 - 15cm apart.Very tiny neat lettuce forming small heart or rosette. Cut and come again or harvest whole plant.
WHEN TO SOW
September to November.
WHERE TO SOW
Direct into soil 1cm deep in cold frame or unheated glasshouse in rows 30cm apart.
WHEN TO TRANSPLANT
Thin out seedlings as they grow until 30cm apart.
MATURITY
September sowings will be ready by late November. Later sowings by early spring.
