Flowers bluish lilac waving pin-cushion heads June-September. Culpeper recom-mends scabious wine for pleurisy. Used externally for sores and internally for lung complaints. Habitat: meadows and road-sides. Ht 60cm 25 plants

Under glass at 16° C.
WHEN TO TRANSPLANT
When seedlings are large enough to handle, prick off into boxes or pots and grow on. Gradually harden off and plant out in September or October, spacing 30cm apart for flowering the following summer.
