SAVORY, WINTER (Satureja montana) P

Description:
Similar flavour to the annual summer Savory, but stronger. Good low growing rock plant with pinky white flowers. Sharp drainage, full sun. Ht low 400 plants

WHERE TO SOW
Outside in late spring by pressing the seed into the soil and keeping watered. It germinates better without a covering of soil. Transplant when large enough. Germination is rather erratic. Grow in any well drained soil. Site in full sun.
HARVEST
The leaves any time. For drying, harvest just before flowering. Dry by hanging the stems in the airing cupboard. When leaves are brittle, rub off into a bag.
STORE
In an airtight jar and keep in a cool dark store.
