INDOORS
Sow in soiless compost in trays or small pots from April and maintain at a temperatureof 25°C. Cover with glass until germination takes place. Prick off into small pots when large enough to handle and reduce temperature to 20°C. May be planted outside but not before mid-June.
OUTDOORS
Sow outside after mid-June. (outside sowing is not advised in the North). Grow in a rich soil and water at midday when hot to allow the soil to dry before evening.
