Description

Delicious Japanese squash, shiny green-purple flat globe shape with golden flesh of superb eating quality. Use for baking, stuffing, pie and roast or bake. Start under cover in small pots and plant out in May spacing the plants 1-2 mtrs. s/c 10
WHEN TO SOW
April and May.
WHERE TO SOW
Sow 2 or 3 seeds into 7cm pots in greenhouse at 20° C. Late May sowings can be made by placing seeds 5cm apart direct into soil in cold frame.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
As soon as seedlings have produced 2 rough leaves, prick off into individual 7cm pots. Gradually harden off before planting outside 60cm apart in late May or early June. Cold frame sowings can be gradually hardened off before planting out.
